We will experience the new moon in Virgo on the 3rd of September 2024 at 02:56 GMT when the sun and moon reach 11°04 in Virgo. The earth sign Virgo relates to themes of healing, health, service, analysis, organisation, tidiness, purity and attention to detail. Its shadow side can relate to perfectionism or being overly-critical. During this time, setting prayers or intentions at the Virgo new moon will be most powerful if they are aligned in service to the earth, particularly regarding healing.
These are also the final ‘dog days’ of summer when the dog-star, Sirius rises at predawn, bringing her potent healing light. On the 3rd of September in Glastonbury, Sirius can be seen at predawn rising just above the horizon at around 4:44 am and appearing as bright and visible until around 6.17 am when the sun rises and begins to blot out her light.
A Chat with Shiloh
In making this blog, I spoke with healer Shiloh Kairos about issues regarding conflict areas on the planet and where we can direct focus for the healing and for peace on this planet. A book has just been published about Shiloh called Until Shiloh Comes, written by Sophia Rose and I will also include some excerpts from it which relate to the themes we discussed together.
Pluto's Final Purge in Capricorn
Pluto (the ruler of the ‘Underworld’ or subconscious) will be back once again for its final purge in Capricorn which began on the 2nd September and will last until the 18th November when Pluto will finally enter Aquarius and stay there for its next journey. This is significant, since the last time Pluto entered Aquarius was in 1778-1798, a time which saw a lot of revolutionary change across the planet including the French Revolution (1789-1799,) the American Revolution (1775–1783,) the Haitian Revolution (1791–1804) and the Irish Rebellion (1798). The word revolution, (relating to rapid government change,) came from astronomy, relating to the time it takes for a planet to make one orbit around the sun.
Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, relates to themes of the father, government, work, systems and Pluto brings very Scorpionic ‘Judgement,’ death, transformation and rebirth; so, we should be seeing some significant revelations regarding our systems and governments so that the karma can be processed and collectively we can move forward into this Aquarian phase; this should see significant shifts and truths coming to light.
Black Moon Lilith is conjunct with the South Node in Libra – collectively we are purging any unhealthy relationship dynamics or perceptions of the feminine (yin energy) as well. Black Moon Lilith can relate to our sexuality and hidden desires and wounding (or distortions) may be connected to humiliations or shaming from earlier life. Releasing any old patterns or shame by facing the shadow and connecting back with our power is key.
Neptune's Clean-Up
Neptune is also in the final degree of Pisces – when a planet reaches the last degree of a sign there is an element of charge to it since it is closing out a cycle. This is significant since Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and collectively, we are also releasing many old ancestral patterns regarding the Age of Pisces – a cycle which began at the time around the birth of Jesus, symbolised by the fish - as we prepare and shift into the Age of Aquarius. The theme of ancestral karma is significant and we will look at this in regard to one major theme regarding healing on the earth right now.
Since we are working with a lot of earth energy at the moment with Virgo as well as Pluto in Capricorn, a lot of old energies will be ready for healing or releasing – for those sensitive to earth energy, you may be feeling the impacts of conflict zones and it is vital in these times to keep the stability and to send out love and compassion across the energy lines.

Healing Ancestral Patterns
There seems to be two main waves of ancestral karma that are in need of attention, analysis and healing. Ancestral patterns can be deep and these karmic loops can keep people stuck in suffering – it is vital that we do our own work regarding healing any karma of our ancestors so that we can break the chain.
One major karmic root for healing to look at is the role of Britain as coloniser of Palestine from 1920 until 1948, (known as ‘Mandatory Palestine’) during which the decision was made to create the state of Israel at a UNSCOP meeting in which no Arabs attended or gave their consent. We will examine the karmic consequences of this further.
The second ancestral karmic loop to look at relates to the occupation of the land of Jerusalem, the Holy Land and surrounding area and the many battles and invasions on those lands which involved persecution and conflict for both the Arabs and the Jews. This has involved historically, both Jews and Arabs being kicked out of their Home – the Jews left on mass during the invasion of the Babylonians (and later the Persians) and then the Arabs were forced to flee en masse after the declaration of the State of Israel and various conflicts. There are deep ancestral patterns here that need healing from individuals but also collectively – prayers for these lands are vital in these times, since the ripple effect of conflict on areas with strong earth energy can be highly detrimental on a global scale.
As I was doing my research into this, and looking at the history of the Kingdom of Judah, I came across the following quote from Genesis 49:10:
"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah,
nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
until Shiloh come;
and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."
(From the King James Bible version.)
A Chat around Glastonbury
I suddenly remembered my friend Shiloh who lives around Glastonbury in his van, with few possessions – we had met in 2022 and had some great conversations about God and the spiritual path. Shiloh lived in his van even during the cold winter months with no heating and he regularly cleansed himself in the powerful white spring water and did yoga out on the fresh grass beneath the trees. I was amazed by his strength.
I had once seen this Biblical quote before, but it didn’t make sense to me at the time and I didn’t ponder too much on its meaning. Yet as I came across this quote during the research on the Middle East conflict, I knew I had to meet up with Shiloh and so we arranged to meet at his van at a beautiful location within the Glastonbury radius. I was surprised and amazed when Shiloh shared the news that a lady called Sophia had written a book about him and the healing and awakening she had experienced in his presence.
St Catherine's Monastery which Sophia mentioned about in her book. Also known as the Sacred Autonomous Royal Monastery of Saint Katherine of the Holy and God-Trodden Mount Sinai.
Sophia had met Shiloh when they both lived in Egypt and she became a client and student, experiencing massive spiritual transformation and healing. It all seemed perfectly interwoven with the quote I had just come across and how I had felt to reach out to Shiloh suddenly.
The book also tied in nicely with many of the themes I wanted to talk about with Shiloh and after meeting him I had a chance to read the book and write this blog. The book explored a question I was also examining: in terms of healing our struggles and pain, it is important to explore where the roots of our suffering comes from – is it from a limiting belief, an old program or ancestral karma?
A Leap of Faith
As one example of a contemplation like this, Sophia Rose described how she was forced to confront a situation involving many wasps which kept stinging her. “The instant I opened the door, wasps dove at me.” She even felt as if they were trying to get into her trailer on the land she was staying on in France, despite the fact that she had never been stung by wasps before. She wrote:
“Shiloh did not tell me the message they brought, though it was one he could see quite
plainly. A good teacher does not provide answers. It was a way of thinking, he said,
like a shell around me. He pointed to it, like one would to a bird in the distance.”
After reflecting upon the situation Sophia realised that the wasps were trying to break her open from the self-reliant and prideful prison she had created for herself in her reluctance to trust in God. She realised that she needed “to take a leap of faith and relax in God’s perfect care.” She explained: "I had been taking care of myself for so long, with no hope that anyone cared for me, that I didn’t recognise the ways that I wasn’t allowing God to care for me.”
After this revelation, Sophia was never stung by a wasp again. She also relaxed deeper into trust and instead of searching hard to find clients, she relaxed and trusted that she was cared for by God and “within two months the perfect contract dropped into my lap.”

Handing it Over to God
Yet Sophia never felt that Shiloh wanted anything from her except to know God and to turn to God. He seemed very “self-contained,” not needing anything from her. She was grateful for his humility since he gave God credit for everything he knew and everything he did during healing. Shiloh once said to her that “each of us grows up with a unique history and a unique soul path and only God can guide the healing” of each person in the way that is most helpful to them.
It’s interesting because while reading the book in Glastonbury, a lady asked me what I was reading and I excitedly told her about my friend and the book, feeling happy about the good news. The lady saw my excitement and misunderstood it, asking “in society why is it that women get excited about a guru who is a man but if it’s a woman they’re not interested, is that still happening?” I assured the lady that my excitement was that I was writing an article about the book and that I was really happy for him (the news had all come as a surprise.) She mentioned validly that a lot of men in Glastonbury have big egos and are not lifting women up – I assured him that Shiloh was not like this and that he encouraged people to connect directly to God, not to him – but I was grateful for her insights and for bringing these feelings to my attention about what she sensed in the collective. I heard her words and could hear the pain since I think these are issues we are working with collectively and I have known it in myself – I have constantly sought for self-empowerment and connection with the soul and faced challenges like this along the way.
Balancing the Yin and Yang
All of the major religions on this planet are mainly focused on the male prophets or gurus, and not their female counterparts who would have carried just as much unique wisdom. When stepping onto the spiritual path, we need to understand the patterns of the sun and the moon in equal balance, otherwise we will lose our way.
The Church of Mary Magdalene on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem.
Perhaps the most obvious example of this was with Mary Magdalene whose gospel was excluded from the Bible and had to be hidden – it was only discovered in 1896, centuries after Mary had already been defamed and labelled a “whore” by a corrupted system which had disconnected many further and further from the divine feminine energy and with nature. It was only by 1969 that the Catholic church had stopped called her a prostitute. Those engaging in community discussion and reflection regarding patriarchal corruption in religions and bringing reformation regarding the balancing out of the yin and the yang are doing vital work in these times. While writing this blog, I was shown that Mary Magdalene (MM,) when inverted, becomes Mass Murder.
Sophia also touched on this topic and described how in one dream, she saw Shiloh fitting two forms of energy together, “meticulously and intricately” and explained that they were the “energies of the masculine and the feminine.”
Healing Betrayal
Sophia’s journey of awakening and reconnecting with her soul and God was about learning to trust in life and God again after a lifetime of betrayal, a “difficult childhood” and situations involving untrustworthy individuals including family members:
“Everyone I have ever known has betrayed me. Horribly,” I said defensively. “Why
should I trust anyone?”
Shiloh responded calmly. He wasn’t asking me to trust anyone, he said. People act
out of their own pain and most have a great deal of it.
Shiloh assured Sophia that God had always been there for her and had never betrayed her. He also helped her to shift her perspective regarding her victim mentality and to understand that “everything was arranged” for her “soul’s benefit” and that there was purpose in everything she had experienced. As she moved through this understanding her life opened into greater levels of trust in life.

Sirius
Sophia described how on various occasions as she travelled she came to the UK and lived on Shiloh’s boat Sirius. I was amazed when Shiloh told me about his boat’s name; Shiloh shared how he had once experienced a vision of connecting with Sirius and the profound love he felt from her. She had explained that it was difficult to reach through due to the layers and filters surrounding this planet. He spoke about in these times, we need to trust in our values in such times of disconnection.
That is why faith is such a strong theme on earth – there is a need to trust in the spiritual experiences we are given, without seeking more of them and to take the time to integrate them. The journey of bringing those visions and vibrations back into society requires skill and I deeply appreciate how Shiloh balances these aspects together by sharing and trusting in God's work.
True Faith
“On any occasion when I happened to be with Shiloh, either walking, in a cafe for tea, or in a restaurant, I noticed that people stared at him...Our attention is drawn, I think, by the combination of peace and confidence that he carries. We stare, trying to understand how confidence can look so different in him than in others, not understanding that confidence in God confers a deep peace. What we are seeing, and do not recognise because of its rarity, is true faith. Shiloh told me once that if someone offered him a wheelbarrow full of gold he would not trade it for even an ounce of knowing God.” From Until Shiloh Comes.
I enjoyed reading Sophia’s book – the short chapters were easy to read and her style pulled me into the journey quickly and enjoyably. The book felt lovely in my hands with its bright front cover of the crystal-like sandy hills near Bethlehem and the rising sun – the image was apt since Shiloh has explored those lands extensively. I felt as if I was following the path with her as she described the ups and downs of her spiritual journey with candidness and was amazed by her strength regarding some big obstacles which she successfully transformed.

The Holy Land
For Sophia, learning to trust in God involved receiving the support of a spiritual teacher, trusting in Shiloh’s connection to God and receiving his channeled insights with an open heart. As I sat with Shiloh talking about the ancestral karma of the Middle East and the healing needed, we both shared that we had past lives connected with the region. The Holy Land has drawn many people to it over the years and many invasions and battles have happened there. Ancient civilisations lived in this region including the Canaanites and these states became connected to Egypt and later two Israelite kingdoms grew called Israel and Judah – archaeological evidence from Khirbet Qeiyafa, shows that this kingdom may go back to the 10th century BC and in Biblical accounts, it reached its peak with David and Solomon.
Later groups which took control of the region included the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, Alexander the Great (and the Hellenistic period,) the Roman Empire, then the Muslim conquest in 636 and various dynasties. In 1119, the Knights Templar were established in Jerusalem to protect Christian pilgrims making their way to Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Then the Mongol Empire invaded in the 1250s and then Egypt reunified the area under its control; next the Turkish Ottoman Empire took control in 1516. The Ottoman Empire was defeated in WW1 and Britain took a mandate to govern the region and various challenging events and decisions happened during this governance which we will discuss later.
Healing the Divisions
Britain has faced some instability recently (which I do believe is related to healing its colonial karma) and there has been a lot of people advocating for peace and unity which is great. With Shiloh, we spoke about the importance of social cohesion in these times and to recognise when people (or groups) are becoming isolated or lost in superiority – no religious pathway is greater than any other and we all are called to different roads and it is important to bring our vision back into the symbiosis of society. Through arrogance some people may think that their people, tribe, culture or religion is superior to others and become disconnected from the heart. We have seen these divisions recently in the UK regarding conflicts of racist groups, yet also amongst extremists. Yet ultimately, we are all earthlings. We all are different and have unique cultures and beliefs which is beautiful, yet we are all of the same Consciousness - brothers and sisters. When we come back to ourselves as pure Consciousness and allow the busy mind with all its thoughts about identity to calm, we may remember ourselves - we all have our own unique pathways and gifts to share.
Non-Judgement Practises
Being non-judgmental and compassionate of others is vital and in the book, Sophia explained how Shiloh had stressed to her the importance of this since the “collective weight” of other people’s ideas can affect others. I know this myself from personal experience being in Glastonbury where, despite being a hub of spirituality, a lot of projection, gossip and blame can happen. When we rise in vibration, we may bring up shadow and pain in ourselves but also in others – it may be collective, or it may relate to an individual – sometimes though people will project all of this onto another person rather than facing it in themselves and not doing their shadow work. I am always cautious when I hear people speaking negatively or gossiping about others with no reason. I think if we are being discerning and talking about a detrimental pattern we’ve observed in someone with the intention to understand it, or to heal the dynamic, then it’s ok. However, I would stress cautiousness about people who just gossip and speak badly about others, who project or blame without taking any accountability for their actions – we do not need to judge these individuals, but we also don’t need to keep them in our close circle.
Shiloh suggested to me that in these times, trusting in our values is vital. He also said that our word as testimony is also important. We need to share our voice, since we do not know the ripple effect it can have and it may inspire others; equally, it is important to support others when they speak their truth, to amplify God’s work on this planet, otherwise the words will fall unheeded. We also spoke about the need for more decentralisation in our political structures and a return to the ‘local’ - the divine in all. Our policies and technologies need to be in alignment with Mother Earth.

Until Shiloh Come
As I spoke about the quote regarding the sceptre of Judah I had recently come across, Shiloh was doing yoga. He was needing to prepare for a zoom call later and was pressed for time to complete his daily exercises that afternoon; as I asked him the question, about the sceptre, Shiloh did a headstand and explained that the word ‘Shiloh’ meant ‘place of peace.’ I quietly watched as Shiloh balanced perfectly upside down on his head in his van while pondering the quote again:
"The sceptre shall not depart from Judah,
Nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,
Until Shiloh come;
And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be."
Here was Shiloh before me, perfectly balanced on his crown – the place of connection to the divine and the place of peace – while his spine, or staff, was perfectly straight – connected. Often, I have heard about the importance of posture on the spiritual path – when our spine is straight, it allows the energy to flow down through the meridians without blocking the energy. The word yoga means ‘to yoke’ or ‘to join’ and allows us to find union with the divine in ourselves – to join the body, mind and soul together. Through certain postures we can connect back with the body, with nature and recognise the divine energy that flows through us. We can recognise the divine within – that is in all beings – that we all need to wake up to.
With his actions, it felt like Shiloh was showing me something, or pointing to something, without saying much at all.
Same Ancestors
The heartbreak of the Middle Eastern conflict is that a study on the DNA of Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs has revealed that many actually share the same ancestors: "In a study of Israeli Jews from some different groups (Ashkenazi Jews, Kurdish Jews, North African Sephardi Jews, and Iraqi Jews) and Palestinian Muslim Arabs, more than 70% of the Jewish men and 82% of the Arab men whose DNA was studied had inherited their Y chromosomes from the same paternal ancestors, who lived in the region within the last few thousand years."
Perhaps a key point to note is that nothing happens in this universe without meaning. I found it pertinent that, out of all the countries, it was Iran that has stepped forward recently, approaching Israel in a ‘stand-off.’ One major karmic situation seems to go back to the destruction of an Israelite Kingdom at the hands of King Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians from the region of Iraq, (who were later conquered by the Persians from the region of Iran.) A large number of Jews of Judah were deported from the land and sent into the Babylonian empire. That was the end of the Kingdom of Judah. The northern Kingdom of Israel collapsed slightly later with the arrival of the Assyrians.

British Colonialism
The Holy Land has seen extraordinary high numbers of invasions and wars. It is sacred land with potent earth energy and powerful history – it is not surprising that the area has been highly coveted. During the British colonialism of Palestine, dynamics changed significantly. The Jewish population changed from around 56,000 people in 1918 in Palestine (about 7.9% of the population) to 88,000 in 1922 when the British held a mandate, before increasing to 450,000 in 1939.
The British suggested in the White Paper of 1939 for co-rulership between Arabs and Jews and, in 1947, the British gave the problem over to the UN – the UNSCOP held a meeting which included attendance by Jewish Zionists, yet the Arab Higher Committee boycotted the meeting and did not give their consent. "The Arab public was warned against making any contact whatsoever with UNSCOP and Arab journalists were prohibited from covering their visit."
Eventually a decision was made and the UNSCOP report proposed "an independent Arab State, an independent Jewish State, and the City of Jerusalem", the last to be under "an International Trusteeship System."
The response to this UN proposal was civil war in 1948. In May, the day the last British troops left, the Jewish People's Council declared a State of Israel - an area known as Eretz. But the Arab league countries refused to accept the UN partition plan. This led to the first Arab-Israeli war, yet an UN truce was eventually made. It is thought that between 1947-48, 726,000 Palestinians were forced to flee their homes or were expelled by Zionists and more land was conquered.

The Home and the Mother
This karmic pattern of people being kicked out of their homes by invasion seems to be a strong theme. Perhaps this relates to feeling separated from the Home. It could be argued that as souls, our first home when we incarnate, is the body which is one with the earth – it is house of the root chakra – the place of security, shelter and basic needs. In astrology, the home and the mother are connected with the Cancer sign and ruled by the moon – the divine feminine energy. I feel that there is somehow a link with a need to reconnect more with the feminine/yin and bring her in balance and begin the healing of centuries of patriarchy which has put males, the ‘fathers’ on pedestals and put things drastically out of balance. The opposite sign of Cancer is Capricorn, associated with the father, the government, systems and politics. This is interesting because we are working with Pluto (karma, transformation, rebirth) in Capricorn right now for some final purges and revelations regarding government systems across the planet. These will be very ‘revolutionary’ times indeed.
Eventually, after many had fled their homes, in 1949 the Armistice agreements were made and there was a ceasefire by the nations. Gaza became under Egyptian territory, yet this was dissolved by Egypt in 1959. By 1949 Israel had its first elections and between 1948-51 mass immigration doubled the Jewish population - some were refugees from the European wars and some were Jews from Arab countries. It is thought that between 1948 and 1958, the Israeli population grew from 800,000 to two million. Now the situation is in dire need of thoughtful analysis and ways to find peace between the two groups. Einstein once said: “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.” The healing processes for the Middle East are needing to be profound and synonymous with the shift of consciousness which is happening globally. There is a need to reconnect, reform, and remember. Land belongs ultimately to God – nature belongs to Mother Earth. What does she want?
Trust-Building - the Walls on the Heart (Earth)
Tuning in and given the karmic patterns involved, I do feel that perhaps a positive way forward, or at least to get the ball rolling, would be a two-state solution discussion. Palestinian authorities are favouring this solution, but Israel has been reluctant to allow for a “sovereign, independent Palestinian state” since they want “security control over the entire territory west of the Jordan River.” Something needs to give. Without beginning the long journey back to trust, these two neighbours are never going to move forward.
The war on Gaza must also be condemned and all weapons sales from Britain to Israel must stop.
The Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives.
In terms of this karma, I think it is important in these times to offer our prayers if we feel the call, but also to not allow the heaviness of the past to pull us downwards. I remember when I was in Bali over 10 years ago, I was speaking badly about Britain (with colonial guilt) yet a Buddhist man there ‘told me off’ in the nicest way for this perspective. He told me not to take my citizenship for granted or speak badly about it – he said I had many freedoms and benefits that many people (especially women) across the world would desire and that I should use this power to do good. His words stayed with me and it changed my attitude.
Developing Open-Mindedness and Curiosity
My partner is Indonesian and I have received a lot of wisdom from him and those mystical, sacred lands and still am learning – there is a beautiful mix of different beliefs and religions with Muslims, Balinese Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Animists all living side by side in respect and peace – it is perhaps the most peaceful and friendly place I have encountered and my spiritual journey reawakened significantly there over ten years ago. Social cohesion and friendliness is important in Indonesia and the society is held together by polite behaviour and customs. Even for strangers, people call older women ‘ibu’ meaning mother and older men are ‘bapak’ or ‘pak’ meaning father. When I am in Indonesia, I feel the need to be very polite and it is a nice feeling – it reminds me to recognise the divine in everyone. Another name for Indonesia is Ibu Pertiwi, or 'Mother Earth.'
I am so grateful for everything Indonesia has taught me; it helped me to look outside the conditioning and programming of my British upbringing. I think this is healthy and if everyone did this, it might encourage more open-mindedness and tolerance of differences – to look beyond any rigid perceptions we may cling onto, or any old wounds from the past. Travelling taught me the importance of opening my mind, but it also showed me how connected other people were with their ancestors and their culture and that this was missing in my life. Since then, I have retraced the threads and deepened my roots after returning to Britain – connecting with my ancestors has helped me feel more connected with Mother Earth.
Connecting with the Ancestors
Over recent years, I have done a lot of ancestral karmic clearing – my ancestors are Irish and British and I have needed to work with the pains of both sides. Many British people are working-class or middle-class and their ancestors were in 'economic slavery' in a patriarchal system with the upper-classes taking the major benefits – serfdom for example only dissipated by the 15th-16th centuries, however it was never officially abolished. Britain was also colonised by the Romans and others including the Angles and the Normans and experienced devastation regarding its old indigenous culture at the hands of the Romans. For centuries there have been rich elites on this planet with knowledge on how to manifest and accumulate wealth while dominating others, including their own citizens. These patriarchal systems, groups, secret societies, conglomerates are all over the world. I do feel that we need empowerment in these times, and while it is important to do our ancestral healing, it is not healthy to develop a 'white colonial guilt complex.' It seems ‘fashionable’ for some on social media to speak badly about Britain, while taking all its benefits for granted including its freedoms and human rights.
I think it is important to recognise our collective karma regarding Palestine but also to surrender this situation to God – Mother Earth is sentient and if we trust in her, we can be guided further.
As Sophia Rose realised on her journey, Shiloh and his mission were chosen by God because he lived “perfectly surrendered and aligned with God’s will.” Her book was a beautiful reminder of the need to keep trusting in the soul’s path and how she needed to keep chipping away at the “wall” between herself and God: “Like Shiloh, and everyone else interested in knowing God, I must assiduously cultivate my connection to God....it is up to us to align with God in full faith and surrender.” From Until Shiloh Comes.
